Well Peanut had her follow-up at the cardiologist today and the doctor said her heart looks good. No coarctation, no hypertension, good blood pressure and EKG. Getting all those tests done wasn't exactly a piece of cake however. She was scared, and she is an emotional and strong-willed little thing. They gave her some sedative meds and let her hold her own sonogram thingamabobber and she did pretty well.
I did have to ask the doctor later though "Is it normal for her to hallucinate?". Peanut was reaching her arms out in a hugging motion and saying there were clouds. Later, at home, she told me the sky was coming down. Trippy stuff. She also wanted about 5 bowls of honey bunches of oats. I had to keep slowing her down and reminding her "one piece at a time". I am hoping this afternoon she sleeps it off. As of lunch she was kind of crabby and couldn't exactly walk without help, even though SHE thought she could.
Thank God for a healthy heart!
